LET'S LOOK AT SOME PICTURES

This is Gordon from over the Rainbow Bridge. I've been able to put together a photo album slideshow from my happy time years with the group now affectionately known as The Bumpass Hounds. If the cosmic airwaves have not interfered, you should find my album down towards the bottom center of the blog. I have creatively titled it "GORDON'S PHOTO ALBUM SLIDESHOW." How clever of me. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that if you click on a picture as it is shown, it will open in a new window with the accompanying caption. That way you should be able to find out more about that particular photo. I had a swell time living with the Bumpass Hounds. As time passes, the group members change but the love always stays. There are sad times as we make our way
across the Rainbow Bridge but many more happy times as new members join the group and as the happenings of each new day unfolds for us. I miss being there with the gang. I especially miss Mom and Dad. I'm keeping a sharp eye on things down there with the Bumpass Hounds; oh, that's right, I can see clearly now. I've got my buddy Chance here with me and the original hounds, Rusty and Penny are here too. We have Old Bear Dog leading our contingent up here. Kodi is here making those piercing Siamese meooooowwwwwsssssss. Heidi (Grrrr) the German Shepard and her feline buddy Stonewall stop by all the time to see us. Dino Tozzi from California is around here somewhere. Our buddy Parker is running around here too. We have a new feline friend with us from Brunswick, Georgia. His name is Lenwood Boyette and he tells us that he's here to protect us from the dreaded sink monster; what ever the heck that is. He seems like a very sociable guy; a little of the "in charge" type I think. Although I'm hogging the limelight this week, I expect that I'll get the guys to post a bunch of other pictures from the bunches of photo albums stuffed in the closets down at the Bumpass House. Don't y'all fret about us up here, we're doing fine. Worry about the guys and gals down there that need your help. Don't hesitate to consider adoption of an older pet from a shelter; even a "disabled" pet. We get along fine, we just need love like everybody else. Of course it doesn't hurt if you can contribute either money or your time, both if possible, to a shelter or rescue organization in your area. Of course there's always my Alma Mater: Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary. You'll find their website listed on the right side of the blog somewhere. Well that's about it for now. I've got to go catch a few rays, romp through some meadows, chase a few butterflies and scratch a few itchy spots. After all, this is heaven.

STEP UP TO ADOPT A PET

If you can, please consider opening your home to a homeless animal, preferably a dog or cat or other domesticated animal; livestock does better on farms and wild animals do better in zoos and parks. Your local Humane Society or SPCA or Animal Shelter has a wide selection of could be, should be, pets looking for new homes. If you can't adopt, perhaps you can at least become a sponsor. We'll show you how to help out Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary (AHGRRS) on our blog page, but you can help out any organization of your choice, but please help; contribute or volunteer.

PLEASE HELP SPONSOR A SENIOR OR SPECIAL NEEDS GOLDEN

CAN'T ADOPT; BECOME AN ANGEL.
So many Senior and Special Needs Goldens do not find "forever homes". Many of these dogs have above average medical needs and costs, are maintained on "special" diets, or have other extraordinary needs. Your donations can be targeted towards a particular Senior or Special needs Golden Retriever. As a sponsor, you will receive updates about your "special" Golden, and will be mentioned in our quarterly newsletter as the dog's sponsor. We also accept Paypal donations. Please keep in mind that we are a non-profit organization and that your donation is fully tax-deductible. Please just write the Golden's name in the memo line of your check or Paypal submission when sponsoring a Golden Retriever.
