REDDI NEEDS HELP / BALLOON DOG GOES WILD

Hey gang, this is Abby (Dabby Doo). I'm a rescue Golden Retriever/Yellow Lab mix that was abandoned to the streets of Lexington, KY a few years ago. Luckily I was rescued from an uncertain fate and I made my way to the Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Rescue & Sanctuary up in Delray WV. Carol and Skip took great care of me there and got me into a foster home for just a very short time while they were posting me for adoption. I was just a pup so I went to a furever home pretty quickly. Mom and Dad take good care of me and Homer J., who also came from AHGRR. We are 2 of 5 rescue animals currently in the Bumpass Hounds. Dad does pick ups of Goldens from shelters all over the area and transports them up to Skip and Carol. A few months ago Dad went to a shelter way out west of Richmond to pick up a little guy named Reddi and take him up to AHGRR. When Dad got home he told us all about Reddi and how he is such a sweet little guy and really quite handsome. Well Reddi has had his physical checkup and he's got a few serious problems that need to be fixed before he can go to a furever home like me and Homer did. If you go to the AHGRR website at http://www.almostheaven-golden-retriever-rescue.org/ you'll see the following write-up about Reddi. I'm sticking it in here for y'all so you can see it now.

"The following is a Golden Boy in need of assistance:
Reddi, a Golden Retriever/Collie mix, is one heck of a nice boy! He is only about 5 - 6 years old and so gentle natured. Reddi loves everything and everyone. He is totally crate trained, up to date on all vaccinations, and neutered. We received some bad news from our Veterinarian. Sweet Reddi is both heartworm and lymes positive and will need treatment prior to placement. Reddi is seeking angels to assist in the cost of his medical care."

Now if y'all go back up a bit and click on the AHGRR website, it'll take y'all over to a page of adoptable dogs at AHGRR. If y'all scroll down the page a wee bit you'll find this blurp about Reddi and you'll see a "MAKE A DONATION" button. That button will let you make a donation via painless PayPal to help the little guy get his required treatments so that he can get on with living and do some loving. Any little bit helps. Remember how much we all helped Ace? Well we can do it again for Reddi. I know that times are tough, so we don't expect a lot, just a little if you can. But a lot of people doing a little is still a lot when you add it all up. It's defitely better than a whole lotta nuthin. That will give AHGRR a chance to get Reddi ready to get along down the road to his furever home, where ever that may be.

OK. Now for something in a little lighter vane and a lot more fun. This is a video from some show the Dad watches every now and then called "The Tonight Show." You ain't gonna believe this. All us Bumpass Hounds looked at it a dozen times and we still can't believe that it's true. Wait 'til you look at it and see if you don't agree with us. No human person can possibily have a chin as big as this guy; it's gotta be CGI. Oh yeah, the little Jack Russell dog does pretty good.

EPILOGUE
Jack:
Hey JEB. What's it called when a Jack Russell eats a crow?

JEB: I don't know Jack. What is it called when a Jack Russell eats a crow?

Jack: It's called Jack Russell Crow?

STEP UP TO ADOPT A PET

If you can, please consider opening your home to a homeless animal, preferably a dog or cat or other domesticated animal; livestock does better on farms and wild animals do better in zoos and parks. Your local Humane Society or SPCA or Animal Shelter has a wide selection of could be, should be, pets looking for new homes. If you can't adopt, perhaps you can at least become a sponsor. We'll show you how to help out Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary (AHGRRS) on our blog page, but you can help out any organization of your choice, but please help; contribute or volunteer.

PLEASE HELP SPONSOR A SENIOR OR SPECIAL NEEDS GOLDEN

CAN'T ADOPT; BECOME AN ANGEL.
So many Senior and Special Needs Goldens do not find "forever homes". Many of these dogs have above average medical needs and costs, are maintained on "special" diets, or have other extraordinary needs. Your donations can be targeted towards a particular Senior or Special needs Golden Retriever. As a sponsor, you will receive updates about your "special" Golden, and will be mentioned in our quarterly newsletter as the dog's sponsor. We also accept Paypal donations. Please keep in mind that we are a non-profit organization and that your donation is fully tax-deductible. Please just write the Golden's name in the memo line of your check or Paypal submission when sponsoring a Golden Retriever.
