BY POPULAR DEMAND (?): BORU WISDOM

Hey Hounders,
It's good ole Boru, back for more fillosoftical discussions. As I sit here in the "Cat House" pondering the universe my mind sometimes runs amok with wisdom and i have to dump it out. Here a few more of the more perplexing thought that have been vexing my magnificent mind:

1. Two hats were hanging on a hat rack in the hallway. One hat said to the other: 'You stay here; I'll go on a head.'

2. I wondered why the baseball kept getting bigger. Then it hit me.

3. A sign on the lawn at a drug rehab center said: 'Keep off theGrass.'

4. A small boy swallowed some coins and was taken to a hospital. When his grandmother telephoned to ask how he was, a nurse said: 'No change yet.'

5. A chicken crossing the road is poultry in motion.

6. It's not that the man did not know how to juggle, he just didn'thave the balls to do it.

7. The short fortune-teller who escaped from prison was a small medium at large.

8. The man who survived mustard gas and pepper spray is now a seasoned veteran.

9. A backward poet writes inverse.

10. In democracy it's your vote that counts. In feudalism it's your count that votes.

11. When cannibals ate a missionary, they got a taste of religion.

12. Don't join dangerous cults: Practice safe sects!

Obviously you cata have been hitting the catnip again. You have got to stay off the weed. Go back to your scratching post and leave the blogging to us dogs.

STEP UP TO ADOPT A PET

If you can, please consider opening your home to a homeless animal, preferably a dog or cat or other domesticated animal; livestock does better on farms and wild animals do better in zoos and parks. Your local Humane Society or SPCA or Animal Shelter has a wide selection of could be, should be, pets looking for new homes. If you can't adopt, perhaps you can at least become a sponsor. We'll show you how to help out Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary (AHGRRS) on our blog page, but you can help out any organization of your choice, but please help; contribute or volunteer.

PLEASE HELP SPONSOR A SENIOR OR SPECIAL NEEDS GOLDEN

CAN'T ADOPT; BECOME AN ANGEL.
So many Senior and Special Needs Goldens do not find "forever homes". Many of these dogs have above average medical needs and costs, are maintained on "special" diets, or have other extraordinary needs. Your donations can be targeted towards a particular Senior or Special needs Golden Retriever. As a sponsor, you will receive updates about your "special" Golden, and will be mentioned in our quarterly newsletter as the dog's sponsor. We also accept Paypal donations. Please keep in mind that we are a non-profit organization and that your donation is fully tax-deductible. Please just write the Golden's name in the memo line of your check or Paypal submission when sponsoring a Golden Retriever.
