BAND OF BROTHERS

OH BROTHER!
Heya Hounders,
It's us big Maine Coon Cats, Alex and Boru with a little info about us. We are brothers, kinda. We have different Queens (moms - Sybil and Alexis) but share the same King (father - Puppey). We are originally born and bred from the BeauMaine Cattery in Fredericksburg, VA. We were born a couple of months apart, Alex being the older. Boru has always had Alex as a playmate. We have very different personalities. Alex is more the lap cat than is Boru. Boru is the playful one more prone to interaction for games. We get along quite well with the dogs; Shiloh is the only one that seems fascinated by us kitties. We, unlike little Jenny, do not run when the dogs approach us, we make them walk around us or else they get face slapped. We ourselves are inseparable. We are the most loving of brothers. We never have any disagreements, we share our food bowl and other facilities. We sit in adjacent cat trees. We each have the same favorite chair. We love each other.

Hi Alex and Boru! I'm beginning to get along better with our furry thing that sort of looks and smells like you guys. It's about time! I like the video a lot - thanks for giving me an insight into more cat behavior! Hugs xo Sammie

(To your Mom: So sorry I don't comment more - for some reason, unlike other blogs, which "tell" me about new posts, yours stays at the bottom of my blog list - I'll see if I can delete yours and add again - maybe that will fix it and I'll remember to stop by. Happy Easter! M.)

Aha! We notice that Golden Samantha has the same problem we do. Your new posts don't register on blogger's blog list. There is something with the feed, it won't register.

PS -- Would you guys come tell Percy how nice it is to never fight with your brother. I'm old and I don't want to fight.

You kitties are so funny. Seriously, you smack the dogs when they try to approach you... LOL

I'm glad you two get along, but I'm not sure if I would like another cat. When Mom first saw me at the animal shelter, my brother was in the cage with me. Then when Mom came back the next day to take me home, my brother had been adopted and I haven't seen him since. I kind of like things a certain way and another cat might not fit in. Two furry beasts don't fit in either but obviously no one listened to my objections.

Meow,
Wilbur

STEP UP TO ADOPT A PET

If you can, please consider opening your home to a homeless animal, preferably a dog or cat or other domesticated animal; livestock does better on farms and wild animals do better in zoos and parks. Your local Humane Society or SPCA or Animal Shelter has a wide selection of could be, should be, pets looking for new homes. If you can't adopt, perhaps you can at least become a sponsor. We'll show you how to help out Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary (AHGRRS) on our blog page, but you can help out any organization of your choice, but please help; contribute or volunteer.

PLEASE HELP SPONSOR A SENIOR OR SPECIAL NEEDS GOLDEN

CAN'T ADOPT; BECOME AN ANGEL.
So many Senior and Special Needs Goldens do not find "forever homes". Many of these dogs have above average medical needs and costs, are maintained on "special" diets, or have other extraordinary needs. Your donations can be targeted towards a particular Senior or Special needs Golden Retriever. As a sponsor, you will receive updates about your "special" Golden, and will be mentioned in our quarterly newsletter as the dog's sponsor. We also accept Paypal donations. Please keep in mind that we are a non-profit organization and that your donation is fully tax-deductible. Please just write the Golden's name in the memo line of your check or Paypal submission when sponsoring a Golden Retriever.
