WILL IT STOP RAINING PLEASE.

RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY;
COME AGAIN SOME OTHER DAY.

Hey Hounders,
It's Jubal here with today's news. Radar is fine. He ate all his meals, went for all his walkies, he had plenty of play time in his kennel with mom and dad and he even had visitors. Our sister Sarah and her husband "The Beel" came by to meet the pup. I think that they were overly impressed by his cuteness. One week of quarantine down and two more to go and the we'll get to meet him and judge him for ourselves.

It has been raining since Friday night. really hard at times so the paddock is a mud pit which doesn't make mom happy. The Newfs are couped up in the kennels in the attached garage and the rest of us retrievers have been inside the house most of the time except for those necessary trips outside. Mom and dad did NOT accomplish what they wanted to because they had to deal with us as well as the little snort in the detached garage. It was like wall-to-wall dogs in the kitchen all day. Nobody got to take naps so we were all a little irritable; even the Sofa-dofe. I was probably the best behaved because I tend to find a spot, plop down and stay put. I did get some belly rubs from The Beel while he was here. i always appreciate those belly rubs.
We are still way behind on catching up with reading all of the posts that we follow. Please be assured that we haven't dropped y'all out of our list, we just had a whole lot to catch up with after dealing with the guy out in the detached garage. Please visit Clive's blog if you get a chance cuz they are involved in a fund raiser for Irish Guide Dogs and I'm sure that they'd appreciate any donation you might possibly be able to make, no matter how small. Well that's about it for now. Does any of y'all know why we don't get many comments on our postings? What are we doing bad?
Look what we got from our blog buddy Tank who lives in Pittsburgh where the evil Penguins play hockey. They knocked the capitals out of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
But that's OK; wait 'til next year. Tanks Tank. (that's kinda a pun)

Hi Jubal - sorry about all the rain there. We've had more than our share lately too... in Overland Park, KANSAS. Not sure how you got the idea I was in Pittsburgh, but there are no evil Penguins here where I live. In fact, there is no hockey team at all which makes some people very unhappy. As for comments to your posts - I've learned you have to go around and make comments on all the other blogs and then they will reciprocate... very time consuming. Woof, Tank

Congrats on your award puppers. I'm still not talking about the thing in the garage.

How are Jenny and Alex today?

Hi Jubal

Lots of rain here as well this weekend - the little man's sister had her football match cancelled and she wasn't a happy camper. I got very quick walks as I hate getting wet as well.

Thank you for the mention and we dropped over to Pooka's blog as well. We were really impressed with the article about the school visit.

Yup, I think like the previous comments - you just have to spend a certain amount of time every day commenting on other blogs to get comments back on your one! Time consuming I know when you are very busy with other things.

lots of woofs
Clive

Raining lots here too, but I heard the radioman say this morning that we are still some fractions of an inch below "normal" Sheesh. Dogs need webbed toes here!

Don't know about the comment thingy. It isn't difficult, but we have noticed that the better the weather gets, the fewer comments. (based on three years) Some years we do great because we go interesting places. This year we are going NOWHWERE!~

oops, just realized that your blog is one of those that sometimes requires three or more requests to "Post Comment" so if people don't wait to see if their comment clears, they might all be lost in Cyber Space

Wall-to-wall dogs?! Sounds great!
Meanwhile, yes, I occasionally have trouble commenting on here, too, but I am stubborn! ;P Also, not sure how long you've been blogging, but sometimes it just takes time for people to get to commenting.

Hi there, wet and cooped up Hounders! It's raining real hard here right now - I think the rainy season has arrived. We're so glad that Radar continues to thrive. We hope all the doggies and kitties like him when they get to meet him.

I don't know about the comments. I guess I agree with what everyone else has said, plus this - the longer we leave a post up, the more comments it gets. You have more followers than we do, so maybe people are reading but not always commenting.

I know how you feel about rain. I hate it. Luckily it's been pretty nice here lately.

STEP UP TO ADOPT A PET

If you can, please consider opening your home to a homeless animal, preferably a dog or cat or other domesticated animal; livestock does better on farms and wild animals do better in zoos and parks. Your local Humane Society or SPCA or Animal Shelter has a wide selection of could be, should be, pets looking for new homes. If you can't adopt, perhaps you can at least become a sponsor. We'll show you how to help out Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary (AHGRRS) on our blog page, but you can help out any organization of your choice, but please help; contribute or volunteer.

PLEASE HELP SPONSOR A SENIOR OR SPECIAL NEEDS GOLDEN

CAN'T ADOPT; BECOME AN ANGEL.
So many Senior and Special Needs Goldens do not find "forever homes". Many of these dogs have above average medical needs and costs, are maintained on "special" diets, or have other extraordinary needs. Your donations can be targeted towards a particular Senior or Special needs Golden Retriever. As a sponsor, you will receive updates about your "special" Golden, and will be mentioned in our quarterly newsletter as the dog's sponsor. We also accept Paypal donations. Please keep in mind that we are a non-profit organization and that your donation is fully tax-deductible. Please just write the Golden's name in the memo line of your check or Paypal submission when sponsoring a Golden Retriever.
