EVERYBODY OUTTA THE POOL.

RADAR'S NEW SWIMMING HOLE

Radar, the blind Golden Retriever puppy doing today's blog post. I like to be outside on our deck. It has a retractable awning so that I can have lots of shade. But it's been so hot and humid the last few weeks that mom and dad have been concerned about me. So they decided that I needed to have an option if I wanted to cool off. They went out with the Suburban and came back with a new swimming pool just for me. They set it up out on my back deck, kinda part under the awning near the big table. I can't see it but I know where it is. I was a bit hesitant to go in it at first but dad threw a few of my empty water bottles in to it and I stepped in to the pool to "retrieve" them. I now like going in an bobbing for bottles. I haven't laid down in it yet but I do stick my head under the water and blow bubbles out of my snout. I get all wet and then lay out in the shade on the deck; that keeps me cool and comfortable. How do y'all like my pool setup?

I had to get Jack's pool out and fill it up as well! He likes digging at the bottom (and eating the edge!)

We think you are a furry smart baby doggie! It was too cold here in Michigan most of the summer and now fall is comin' so it doesn't look like we are gonna have a pool.

Cool pool Radar! Oh you are doing so very wonderfully! It must feel so good to cool off in that neat cold water, then lie in the shade. You look very happy and playful!

There's nothing better on a hot day than a dip in the pool! I'm glad to see Radar has his own.

STEP UP TO ADOPT A PET

If you can, please consider opening your home to a homeless animal, preferably a dog or cat or other domesticated animal; livestock does better on farms and wild animals do better in zoos and parks. Your local Humane Society or SPCA or Animal Shelter has a wide selection of could be, should be, pets looking for new homes. If you can't adopt, perhaps you can at least become a sponsor. We'll show you how to help out Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary (AHGRRS) on our blog page, but you can help out any organization of your choice, but please help; contribute or volunteer.
