IT'S SUNDAY AND HEAVEN NEEDS HELP

WELL, IT'S ALMOST HEAVEN
THAT NEEDS HELP

PLEASE HELP AMOS

Hey Hounders, Homer J. here with an update on one of our friends up at Almost Heaven Golden Retriever & Sanctuary (AHGRR). You may remember that I myself was saved from the green needle by AHGRR. Our late brother Gordon had been saved by them too. Abby also came to us from AHGRR. Sophie was on her way to AHGRR when dad decided she'd be better off here since she was so FAT. And everyone knows the story about Radar (a.k.a. Radio) and how he came here from AHGRR. So that's 5 Bumpass Hounds saved by AHGRR. Anyways, we're kinda full up here at the moment but a friend of ours up at AHGRR named (Please Help) Amos does need some good vibes and assistance if'n y'all can swing it in these trying times.

Please Help Amos. 3 - 4 year old Amos found himself homeless - and sick. Amos has Lymes disease and is heartworm positive. Almost Heaven will begin treating Amos for Lymes first so that he is as healthy as possible before they treat him for his heartworm disease; that treatment takes a lot out of a pup. Amos has a very sweet temperament with a tail that never stops wagging. As we posted not too long ago, black dogs are often times overlooked in shelters, and sick black dogs stand little chance of being adopted - or rescued. We think Amos deserves another chance at being a happy, healthy dog, heck, look at how good radar is doing now after he had Parvo which is a real puppy killer. We are looking for sponsors/angels to help defray some of Amos' medical bills. If you would like to help him, please send your donations to AHGRR, P.O. Drawer D, Delray, WV 26714 or to use a credit card, please go to our website and click on any of the PayPal (<- CLICK HERE) donation buttons. Amos should be ready for his new home by September 15th. AHGRR is accepting adoption applications for him now. Applications can be downloaded from the AHGRR website:

Please Help. Amos is up-to-date with all of his routine shots and he is neutered.

OBTW: Saturday weigh-in results: Sophie = 76 lbs and Radar = 60 lbs

PLEASE Don't forget. Please make your guesses on this weeks Monday Mystery Guest. Just CLICK HERE to be taken to the Monday Mystery Guest posting and take a guess. Please, oh Pretty Please.

Our Dad sent a little something to help Amos, and he also tried to vote for Max but the site would not take the vote.
Our Dad also posted Amos's info on two forums we are on so if anyone can help they will know what to do.

STEP UP TO ADOPT A PET

If you can, please consider opening your home to a homeless animal, preferably a dog or cat or other domesticated animal; livestock does better on farms and wild animals do better in zoos and parks. Your local Humane Society or SPCA or Animal Shelter has a wide selection of could be, should be, pets looking for new homes. If you can't adopt, perhaps you can at least become a sponsor. We'll show you how to help out Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary (AHGRRS) on our blog page, but you can help out any organization of your choice, but please help; contribute or volunteer.

PLEASE HELP SPONSOR A SENIOR OR SPECIAL NEEDS GOLDEN

CAN'T ADOPT; BECOME AN ANGEL.
So many Senior and Special Needs Goldens do not find "forever homes". Many of these dogs have above average medical needs and costs, are maintained on "special" diets, or have other extraordinary needs. Your donations can be targeted towards a particular Senior or Special needs Golden Retriever. As a sponsor, you will receive updates about your "special" Golden, and will be mentioned in our quarterly newsletter as the dog's sponsor. We also accept Paypal donations. Please keep in mind that we are a non-profit organization and that your donation is fully tax-deductible. Please just write the Golden's name in the memo line of your check or Paypal submission when sponsoring a Golden Retriever.
