OUR SURPRISE PACKAGE AND THE MONDAY MYSTERY GUEST

OUR SURPRISE PACKAGE
Hey Hounders,
It's me, Alex P. Kitten, here with today's post and some important announcements. Dad says for me to tell everyone that this week's posts will be short and photo laded because we have to try to catch up on reading all of your blogs since we didn't read any this last week. So we're gonna be using filler where we can so that we can see what y'all have been up to. We'll try to leave as many comments as we can and even on some of your past posts too.
When mom and dad got home Saturday night there was a big white box on the front porch. Mom was all excited when she came in the house but of course we were too busy greeting her after a whole week away from home and forgot about the package for a few minutes. Mom put in on the kitchen table while we were all getting catch-up pets and stuff. This morning dad let me check out the package. It came all the way from another country; another continent even. It came from Australia. The package is from our beautiful kitty friend in Melbourne (Mel-Bin), Huffle Mawson, Explorer Cat. The box had a slight dent in one side but dad said that it didn't make any broken stuff rattles when he shook it. I sniffed around the box because it had a very alluring and beckoning odor emanating from within. I couldn't help myself. The aroma was driving me crazy. Finally dad opened the box and I saw that it was full of the best smelling bubble wrap that I've ever smelled. Maybe there's something mixed in with the bubble wrap? I'll let you know later.

MONDAY MYSTERY GUEST
We're going to spread the clues out for the identity of our Monday Mystery Guest over the entire week. Not just because we need the filler, but because we haven't made up all of the clues yet. Remember, the MG is listed among the 73 of our followers listed at the top of our blog page.

Clue #1. - The MG probably likes the old Keystone cop movies.

Clue #2. - Something about the MG implies strength.

Awww...a present all the way from down under!

Yes, you have to catch up on other doggy blogs, especially my blog! You've missed my birthday and that was in June(sob!). Oh well, just in case your two legged humans are busy again (tsk!), I should let you doggies and kitties know that we are leaving the Netherlands and moving to Milan, Italy.

Are your humans going to post their holiday photos??? C'mon do it!

Love,
Homer

STEP UP TO ADOPT A PET

If you can, please consider opening your home to a homeless animal, preferably a dog or cat or other domesticated animal; livestock does better on farms and wild animals do better in zoos and parks. Your local Humane Society or SPCA or Animal Shelter has a wide selection of could be, should be, pets looking for new homes. If you can't adopt, perhaps you can at least become a sponsor. We'll show you how to help out Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary (AHGRRS) on our blog page, but you can help out any organization of your choice, but please help; contribute or volunteer.

PLEASE HELP SPONSOR A SENIOR OR SPECIAL NEEDS GOLDEN

CAN'T ADOPT; BECOME AN ANGEL.
So many Senior and Special Needs Goldens do not find "forever homes". Many of these dogs have above average medical needs and costs, are maintained on "special" diets, or have other extraordinary needs. Your donations can be targeted towards a particular Senior or Special needs Golden Retriever. As a sponsor, you will receive updates about your "special" Golden, and will be mentioned in our quarterly newsletter as the dog's sponsor. We also accept Paypal donations. Please keep in mind that we are a non-profit organization and that your donation is fully tax-deductible. Please just write the Golden's name in the memo line of your check or Paypal submission when sponsoring a Golden Retriever.
