TRASHY TERRAIN TUESDAY

THE CLASSY TOUR
Hey Hounders,

It's me, your buddy Jubal. I got to chow down on my big name Happy Hearts Cookie the other day; yum-yum-yum-yum-yum. Well, it's once again that time of the week when we tour the historic Bumpass Hounds Estate Gardens. Inspired by The Army of Four Serene Scenery Sunday, we delve into the intricacies of the "natural" wonders of our rural Virginia landscape features as showcased in our front yard, back yard, swale ditch, septic drain field, Retriever paddock, and Newfie pen. Occasionally we might venture out into the feed run (creek) out behind the paddock depending on the mud conditions.
On the top left is our front yard swing. Dad moved it out there when radar was being quarantined so that mom and dad could sit with radar when he wasn't in his kennel in the garage. Mom likes it there so it's staying put. The left bottom photo is a tree that snapped its' trunk and fell into our paddock. "Someday" dad will cut it up with his noisy chain saw and haul it out. The right top picture is one of them hydro dangerous flowers looking not too bad. The bottom right picture is another hydro dangerous follow looking too bad. "Someday" dad will pull out the dead stuff, "someday." Maybe the same "someday" he has to rake up all the leaves that fall down off the trees in the woods.

Boy, we sure give those Ao4 guys a run for their money. When their tree got knocked down it was gone the next day. they never even got to play with it as a fixture on an obstacle course. We've had ours for a few weeks now. How lucky do 10 dogs get?

MONDAY MYSTERY GUEST:
Time to guess last week' s Monday Mystery Guest. Remember, the MG is one of the 74 followers listed at the top of our blog page. So far the clue given so far are:

1. - The MG probably likes the old Keystone cop movies.
Pennsylvania is the Keystone State.
2. - Something about the MG implies strength.
Strength - Husky
3. - Sing along with the MG to "A - B - Kh - D - E -F -G ........ etc.
KH - Khorner
4. - The MG is often found napping under the very big old tree in the back yard.
Favorite backyard spot
5.- The MG wears a warm coat.
Like in Siberia
6.- The MG is definitely NOT a big feline fan.
Known to cast aspersion towards cats
7.- You often see the MG with a Mercedes.
A fellow Golden Retriever buddy - Mercedes.
Yep. The Monday Mystery Guest is none other than:
KHYRA

This was the first clue for this week's Monday Mystery Guest:

1.- The MG is an intercontinental world traveler who really gets around.

Today's clue is:

2.- The MG shares something with one of us.

That's it for today guys.

We can never get the guests, doh! That's quite the stash of cookies you guys have there, mmmm. Cookies make us feel like Homer Simpson:) Hey, who has time to rake leaves? Plus they are more fun on the ground anyway if there is lots of them, they're pretty comfy to roll in!

We could send you the bunny that ATE our hydrangea plants - he'd make quick work of yours! (Mom mumbled something about she'd be happy if you guys would make quick work of the bunny... but since she doesn't let US do that, we don't think she's serious about you all hurting him, either.)
We love Boru's lessons!
Play bows,
Zim

So for the Hydro Dangerous flower, do you help keep it nice by "watering" it? That's what I've been doing for Mom's new bushes, but she doesn't seem all that appreciative.

STEP UP TO ADOPT A PET

If you can, please consider opening your home to a homeless animal, preferably a dog or cat or other domesticated animal; livestock does better on farms and wild animals do better in zoos and parks. Your local Humane Society or SPCA or Animal Shelter has a wide selection of could be, should be, pets looking for new homes. If you can't adopt, perhaps you can at least become a sponsor. We'll show you how to help out Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary (AHGRRS) on our blog page, but you can help out any organization of your choice, but please help; contribute or volunteer.

PLEASE HELP SPONSOR A SENIOR OR SPECIAL NEEDS GOLDEN

CAN'T ADOPT; BECOME AN ANGEL.
So many Senior and Special Needs Goldens do not find "forever homes". Many of these dogs have above average medical needs and costs, are maintained on "special" diets, or have other extraordinary needs. Your donations can be targeted towards a particular Senior or Special needs Golden Retriever. As a sponsor, you will receive updates about your "special" Golden, and will be mentioned in our quarterly newsletter as the dog's sponsor. We also accept Paypal donations. Please keep in mind that we are a non-profit organization and that your donation is fully tax-deductible. Please just write the Golden's name in the memo line of your check or Paypal submission when sponsoring a Golden Retriever.
