FANTASTIC FRIDAY

CAN'T A GUY GET A NAP?
Hey Hounders,
Alex P. Kitten here with today's Bumpass Hounds post. It was a really beautiful fall day this last Sunday and I plopped myself down in the sunbeam by the patio door, Huffle style. Mom had all the windows open and the air had an autumn aroma. It was in the low 70 degree F range and very pleasant; perfect nap weather. Well I was off in La-La land (probably visiting Kona) when all of a sudden I was rudely awoken by a horrendous roar. At first I thought it was the alarm sirens from the nuclear power plant about 3 miles up the lake; the sirens are located throughout a 10 mile radius of the plant. Well anyway, that isn't what it was. Just watch this video to see, and hear, what a guy has to put up with around here. Don't forget about Mr. White, please.

MONDAY MYSTERY GUEST:
Here are the clues so far for this week's Monday Mystery Guest:
1.- The MG is from the Professor Marvel's old stomping ground.
2.- Something about the MG makes you think the MG is in the Army, but the MG is not.
3.- The MG doesn't run on tracks, although you would think otherwise.
4.- Park it:

Today's clue:
5.- The MG must be an accomplished horticulturist, claiming to own an arboretum and botanical gardens.

I don't see what THE KHAT'S problem is!

At least it isn't the GIANT Landseer Newfie making the rounds on the medi blitz!

Happy Friday!

Khyra is khorrect... cats don't get to complain (although the doggies do seem to engage in some very lively discussions.)

As far as your MG, I have absolutely no idea who it could me, but I would like to meet him/her. I think we would have a lot in common:)

Good luck to Mr. White. I hope someone provides him with a comfortable retirement home.

Tank is too funny but he will have to 'fess up and admit the MG is definitely him. We vow we will meet up with him one of these days at the Arboretum.

We think Mom is going to leave your blog open all day - she just loves your music.

Happy weekend, the OP Pack

Bumpass Hounds and Houndetts,
Keep us posted on Mr. White. If your dad can fly a plane maybe he can airlift Mr. White to Sunny California.
Ben
PS. If we are in town we will meet up with the bloggers in October.

The way the lighting is in that picture makes your face look green! That's handy for Halloween.

STEP UP TO ADOPT A PET

If you can, please consider opening your home to a homeless animal, preferably a dog or cat or other domesticated animal; livestock does better on farms and wild animals do better in zoos and parks. Your local Humane Society or SPCA or Animal Shelter has a wide selection of could be, should be, pets looking for new homes. If you can't adopt, perhaps you can at least become a sponsor. We'll show you how to help out Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary (AHGRRS) on our blog page, but you can help out any organization of your choice, but please help; contribute or volunteer.

PLEASE HELP SPONSOR A SENIOR OR SPECIAL NEEDS GOLDEN

CAN'T ADOPT; BECOME AN ANGEL.
So many Senior and Special Needs Goldens do not find "forever homes". Many of these dogs have above average medical needs and costs, are maintained on "special" diets, or have other extraordinary needs. Your donations can be targeted towards a particular Senior or Special needs Golden Retriever. As a sponsor, you will receive updates about your "special" Golden, and will be mentioned in our quarterly newsletter as the dog's sponsor. We also accept Paypal donations. Please keep in mind that we are a non-profit organization and that your donation is fully tax-deductible. Please just write the Golden's name in the memo line of your check or Paypal submission when sponsoring a Golden Retriever.
