THE BRAVO- ZULU AWARD

Radar here with an important announcement and award. I'm the newest "rescue" here at The Bumpass Hounds, so I have been given the honor of posting today and making a very special announcement. As you probably know, our BBBs (best blog buddies) Mogley and Bella are very involved with Golden Retriever rescue out in once again snowy Colorado. As a rescued Golden Retriever myself, I realize how important that rescue and fostering efforts are in helping dogs that would otherwise be homeless and/or in a shelter. We are all looking for the

Well, we feel that it's now time to make what is only our third presentation of the BRAVO-ZULU AWARD IN MEMORY OF SPENCER. We know of a dog and mom team who have provided transportation both near and far from their home for homeless animals that have been given a second chance at life, if only they can make it to their new forever homes. That is what our latest recipient does; they get up at early hours before the sun is up, in good weather and bad, often on precious weekend days, to help get these fortunate animals closer to their new furever homes. If you follow their blog, and just about everyone seems to, you know how much these guys do to help out. So The Bumpass Hounds now award the BRAVO-ZULU AWARD IN MEMORY OF SPENCER to Khyra and her Mom. They're welcome to copy the award and put it on their blog page if they'd like. We're sorry that there's no endowment or mileage subsidy to go along with it. Let's have a big round of applause for Khyra and her Mom and lets all remember our best friend forever Spencer and smile; he'd like that as he watches down over us. Let's hear it for them all. Kyhra and Mom, stand up and take a bow - WELL DONE. Why not stop over at Khyra's Khorner Blog and leave a congratulatory comment of encouragement for all that they are doing for the homeless animals seeking new homes..

MONDAY MYSTERY GUEST:
These are the clues we gave y'all and the connection to this week's Monday Mystery Guest:
1.- The MG is from the Professor Marvel's old stomping ground.
Professor Marvel was a character in The Wizard of Oz movie during the parts that took place in Kansas. The MG lives in Kansas.
2.- Something about the MG makes you think the MG is in the Army, but the MG is not.
The MG's name has a connotation of the Army.
3.- The MG doesn't run on tracks, although you would think otherwise.
The MG's name is tied to an Army tracked vehicle.
4.- Park it: http://www.wyomingtalesandtrails.com/stagelines.html
The site has a picture of an Overland Stage. The MG lives in Overland Park
5.- The MG must be an accomplished horticulturist, claiming to own an arboretum and botanical gardens.
The MG loves to go to the Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens and claims to own them in his blog profile.
6.- The MG is having labor problems with his staff.
The MG foolishly recently fired his administrative assistant.
7.- We don't believe that the MG is a squirrel aficionado.
The MG has frequently expressed contempt for the bushy tailed beasts.
The Monday Mystery Guest from last week is none other than our little buddy TANK of Tank's Two Cents fame.
This week's mystery guest is, like all others, one of our followers listed at the top of our blog. This is the first clue to our MG's identity:
1. The MG is a "rescue" that was within minutes of "termination."

Khyra and her Mom do so much good for animals everywhere. They are true believers in the Paw It Forward attitude. Like Huffle, we are so happy to be able to say we have Khyra and her Mom as our friends - thanks for recognizing all that they do.
Congrats, Khyra and Phyll - you have truly earned this award. Display it proudly.

Great choice for the Bravo-Zulu award, beautiful Miss Khyra. Our mom thinks the Golden Retriever pumpkins are great, but her creative talents lie in other directions.
