NOT SO WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

DO YOU HAVE SOME MORE LOVE & SUPPORT TO GIVE?
Hey Hounders,
Hi gang, it's that good old stay-at-home and never escape good guy, Jack, with kinda an appeal if you will. We know that just about every pup, kitty and peep that reads our stuff is a little different, but in a good way. Y'all care about the welfare of others. We have become aware of a situation that we would like y'all to lend your support to. Seems that there is a very handsome 3 year old Golden Retriever named Harry that lives up in Boston that could use some kind words. We know that some of our New England buddies are already aware of Harry's situation. Ya see, Harry and his dad have just lost their mom and wife, Dena, to breast cancer. They have posted a very sweet, noble and moving tribute to her on Harry's blog. We think that it would be appreciated if y'all would stop over at Harry's blog and leave a few kind words of consolation for Harry and his dad on their tragic loss. Yeah, it's a tissue read (even the GOM said he was a little emotional reading it) but well worth the minor inconvenience and time it'll take you; and ya know that it's the right thing to do. Please spread the word about Harry's plight to your blogging buddies and keep these guys in your prayer's
.

We also need you to keep sending your prayers and good vibes for our ailing buddies Chandler and Max. Stop by their sites and give them some encouragement in their battles against canine cancer. Please vote for Max's blog at http://www.trainpetdog.com/
His special blog code is: Di6Ym Voting closes: 20th February 2010.

We went to visit Harry earlier today and my mum cried and cried and cried.

We will go to Harry's blog, but not until after muzzer does her library reading job. She says it hits too close to home for her, and she doesn't want the audience to worry about why she sounds like she is weeping. This is a three vote day (as opposed to two) so we hope it will help

We are so so sad to hear about Harry's mom, Dena. What an amazing post. It is an incredible sadness.

Hugs and snaggle-tooth kisses,

We didn't know Harry but we saw him on Khyra's blog - oh what a sad and wonderful tribute it was - our mom is still crying from it. We were sure to send them lots of comforting purrs and prayers

STEP UP TO ADOPT A PET

If you can, please consider opening your home to a homeless animal, preferably a dog or cat or other domesticated animal; livestock does better on farms and wild animals do better in zoos and parks. Your local Humane Society or SPCA or Animal Shelter has a wide selection of could be, should be, pets looking for new homes. If you can't adopt, perhaps you can at least become a sponsor. We'll show you how to help out Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary (AHGRRS) on our blog page, but you can help out any organization of your choice, but please help; contribute or volunteer.

PLEASE HELP SPONSOR A SENIOR OR SPECIAL NEEDS GOLDEN

CAN'T ADOPT; BECOME AN ANGEL.
So many Senior and Special Needs Goldens do not find "forever homes". Many of these dogs have above average medical needs and costs, are maintained on "special" diets, or have other extraordinary needs. Your donations can be targeted towards a particular Senior or Special needs Golden Retriever. As a sponsor, you will receive updates about your "special" Golden, and will be mentioned in our quarterly newsletter as the dog's sponsor. We also accept Paypal donations. Please keep in mind that we are a non-profit organization and that your donation is fully tax-deductible. Please just write the Golden's name in the memo line of your check or Paypal submission when sponsoring a Golden Retriever.
