FAILURE AGAIN

 THE NEW ARRIVAL
 Patti and Sophie
Hey Hounders,
It's Sophie and Patti here.  Well, Patti has been here a week and we haven't post any photos cuz dad was having problems with the camera and then he had bizniz to attend to so he couldn't get it done.  Well anyway, today we have some basic pictures.  Dad picked her up from a transport convey from Kinston, NC. and agreed to foster her for a week and then deliver her to Almost Heaven Golden retriever Rescue and Sanctuary where they would find her a new furever home.  Since mom is donating the rescue wagon to AHGRR it made sense to make one trip to deliver the goods..  But things don't always work out as planned.  Mom and dad decided that Patti could stay for only a week, but Patti decided that this is a cool place and she decided that she wasn't gonna be leaving.  She started off by hopping up on the big bed in the MBR and sleepy there from here first night here.  She decided that she was a princess like Sophie and would go out front with her.  She also decided that she could go without a leash and would come when dad called her.  She acted well mannered with the other dogs and gets along fine with the cats.  She has her on bowl location for meals and sits in the que for treats.  She told mom and dad that this is too good a deal to pass up.  So when the rescue wagon went tp AHGRR both Sophie and Patti were in the back cargo area.  Ms. Carol said that they are both beautiful dogs but they said it was nice meeting her but they were just along for the ride.  They took a short break and then hopped into mom's Jetta for the ride back to Bumpass.  Sophie knew she was only going for a ride in the car but Patti was a bit apprehensive about riding since she's been making only one way trips of late.  She was really elated when the jetta pulled into our driveway and she knew that she was really home.  Yep, mom and dad have once again failed at fostering; will they ever learn.  Dad says he really appreciated people like Kona's M&S and Mogley's chauffeur and house keeper as well as all those others that foster homeless dogs and then can bear to part with them.  Mom and dad just aren't strong enough.  So y'all would think that there are now 14 Bumpass Hounds and Kitties, but you's be one shy cuz there are 15 of us now.  Go figure.
-Sophie and Patti

Detailed instructions are on the right side bar.

A VERY SPECIAL PUP
Three year old Luke is a total sweetheart.  He has never met a person or pet that he didn't love.  Luke is eager to please, and he is crate trained.  Luke is also deaf, so he will need a fenced yard and someone who will understand his only handicap is his inability to hear.  Luke is in a situation a lot like our dog Radar who is blind.Luke needs a home.  If you can't adopt, maybe you can sponsor.
You can check him out at:

Yay yet more Pups... ;)

You are going to have to re-do your blog header again at this rate to put Radar and Patti on there!

I'm loving the pics of the doggies - even though I am a cat person at heart I love Golden's and Collies as they are my favourite dogs.

Good luck to Patti in her new forever home - I'm glad that your Mum and dad failed at Fostering again!

Well, some things are worth failing at. Martin's right, you're going to have to redo your blog header.

STEP UP TO ADOPT A PET

If you can, please consider opening your home to a homeless animal, preferably a dog or cat or other domesticated animal; livestock does better on farms and wild animals do better in zoos and parks. Your local Humane Society or SPCA or Animal Shelter has a wide selection of could be, should be, pets looking for new homes. If you can't adopt, perhaps you can at least become a sponsor. We'll show you how to help out Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary (AHGRRS) on our blog page, but you can help out any organization of your choice, but please help; contribute or volunteer.

PLEASE HELP SPONSOR A SENIOR OR SPECIAL NEEDS GOLDEN

CAN'T ADOPT; BECOME AN ANGEL.
So many Senior and Special Needs Goldens do not find "forever homes". Many of these dogs have above average medical needs and costs, are maintained on "special" diets, or have other extraordinary needs. Your donations can be targeted towards a particular Senior or Special needs Golden Retriever. As a sponsor, you will receive updates about your "special" Golden, and will be mentioned in our quarterly newsletter as the dog's sponsor. We also accept Paypal donations. Please keep in mind that we are a non-profit organization and that your donation is fully tax-deductible. Please just write the Golden's name in the memo line of your check or Paypal submission when sponsoring a Golden Retriever.
