Please take a moment, if you can, to click on each of the above links to stop over to these blog posts and leave some comment or thought to support the family members that these two beloved dogs have left behind.  The world is a lesser place with their passing and they will both be missed. They are much beloved dogs.

Such a sad day, one that many of us know too well. We deal with these things because of the love we share with our animals, who are so much more than pets.

I am just stopping by to say thank you for your unfailing love that you have so generously offerred me during this trying time. You have been wonderful, faithful friends! Your messages have served to hold me together at the times when I have felt that I'm falling apart. Your experiences (often sad) have been embellished with unknown love for others and those in your care.
Many thanks. God bless you...you are earthly angels.

With love

"Miserable Monday" Certainly sums it up, we all have lost some very wonderful cyber friends and we know the terrible emptiness and pain that is felt by their family members.
God's Speed Max Dog and Maguire, until we meet again. We will look for your stars in the night sky.

I haven't felt my heart breaking this desperately since I lost my beautiful Starr 6 years ago. Max had such an impact on many lives throughout the Universe. He now rests with the angels and waits patiently for his dear Maxmom to bring his lead.

I shall go pay my respects to Maguire.

I could never begin to tell you how very much I appreciate the kindness and compassion that you have shown me so many times!! I think it's because you understand the joys that come with having senior goldens as part of our lives, and you also know the heartbreak that comes when they leave us too soon. But just as the song on your blog says, they are "just over the Rainbow" and are waiting for us to one day join them--What a day that will be!! Thank-you again for your kind thoughts and your friendship!! It means so much at a time that can feels like you are so alone!!

STEP UP TO ADOPT A PET

If you can, please consider opening your home to a homeless animal, preferably a dog or cat or other domesticated animal; livestock does better on farms and wild animals do better in zoos and parks. Your local Humane Society or SPCA or Animal Shelter has a wide selection of could be, should be, pets looking for new homes. If you can't adopt, perhaps you can at least become a sponsor. We'll show you how to help out Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary (AHGRRS) on our blog page, but you can help out any organization of your choice, but please help; contribute or volunteer.

PLEASE HELP SPONSOR A SENIOR OR SPECIAL NEEDS GOLDEN

CAN'T ADOPT; BECOME AN ANGEL.
So many Senior and Special Needs Goldens do not find "forever homes". Many of these dogs have above average medical needs and costs, are maintained on "special" diets, or have other extraordinary needs. Your donations can be targeted towards a particular Senior or Special needs Golden Retriever. As a sponsor, you will receive updates about your "special" Golden, and will be mentioned in our quarterly newsletter as the dog's sponsor. We also accept Paypal donations. Please keep in mind that we are a non-profit organization and that your donation is fully tax-deductible. Please just write the Golden's name in the memo line of your check or Paypal submission when sponsoring a Golden Retriever.
