A THANK YOU FROM AHGRRS

WATCH OUT!

NEWSLETTER

Hi:
Poor Boy has been neutered and is looking for his forever home.  He is no longer called "poor boy" - his name is Petey - and he's very special, healthy, and, as you can see, - very happy.
s on vet services prices these days   - - - - -

Petey/Poor Boy - Healthy, Happy, and looking for his forever home
We also have some new faces - - - - all of whom need sponsors.  No donation amount is too small - - - - our veterinary bills are through he roof - - - - we aren't getting many breaks on vet services prices these days   - - - - -

Callie - 5 years old - and simply a nice dog.  She would fit into most any home.  She has been boarding for a while - - - - - -but has received all her vaccinations, is heartworm negative, and will be transported here next week.

8 year old Cyrus's owners could no longer care for him, so he ended up in a rural shelter.  He is safe at our vet's tonight - - - - he likes everything - kids, dogs, and cats.

Lucky M - imagine our surprise when we picked this little "minature" golden boy up from the shelter.  He's only 19 pounds - - - - - - and, as you can see - he's quite a lap dog.  Lucky M is 7 - 8 years young and loves everything.
This time of year is very difficult for rescues - - - - - - - - so if you can spare a few dollars - it would be very appreciated.
THANK YOU for helping us win the Shelter Challenge!!!!!  We can't win the State Challenge again in 2010, but we could try for the next grand prize - $10,000!!!
Have a wonderful weekend - - - - - - - -

What a difference in Poor Boy/Petey.
He has a come a long way from the photo that was on the All Most Heaven website when he first came into their care.
Thank you Almost Heaven for giving this guy a chance.
He will make someone a wonderful addition to their family.
And thank you Bumpass Hounds and Kitties for keeping All Most Heaven out front and in front of people who love rescue and Goldens.

Hey, we have missed you guys.

And, ummmm...Muzzer wants to know more about the "miniature" goldie.

Not really, right. Dad is trying to convince her it is a mix of a cocker and a hound or something, just so she doesn't head to WV on a whim.

STEP UP TO ADOPT A PET

If you can, please consider opening your home to a homeless animal, preferably a dog or cat or other domesticated animal; livestock does better on farms and wild animals do better in zoos and parks. Your local Humane Society or SPCA or Animal Shelter has a wide selection of could be, should be, pets looking for new homes. If you can't adopt, perhaps you can at least become a sponsor. We'll show you how to help out Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary (AHGRRS) on our blog page, but you can help out any organization of your choice, but please help; contribute or volunteer.

PLEASE HELP SPONSOR A SENIOR OR SPECIAL NEEDS GOLDEN

CAN'T ADOPT; BECOME AN ANGEL.
So many Senior and Special Needs Goldens do not find "forever homes". Many of these dogs have above average medical needs and costs, are maintained on "special" diets, or have other extraordinary needs. Your donations can be targeted towards a particular Senior or Special needs Golden Retriever. As a sponsor, you will receive updates about your "special" Golden, and will be mentioned in our quarterly newsletter as the dog's sponsor. We also accept Paypal donations. Please keep in mind that we are a non-profit organization and that your donation is fully tax-deductible. Please just write the Golden's name in the memo line of your check or Paypal submission when sponsoring a Golden Retriever.
