4 DAY COUNTDOWN - WHERE'S FLUFF?

Hey Hounders,
It's Gracie, a.k.a. NAFOD (No Apparent Fear Of Death).
We're all trying to get into the Christmas spirit around here, notice our new holiday banner up on the top of the blog; notice the stupid Santa hat that dad made me wear for this picture.  Notice how the Christmas spirit is just busting out all over my face.   We hope that y'all are doing the same (except for the stupid Santa hat thing); no matter what part of the world you live in.  We've had snow on the ground from 2 seperate snowfalls over the last week.  We've got about 8" total and it hasn't warmed up enough to let any of it melt.  Mom drove off the road and busted up her car so it's in the shop; fortunately she wasn't hurt and can still dispense treats.  The dogs have had lots of inside time because of the freezing temperatures and dad has had to carry out warm water to add to the outside water bowls.  Winter is here; if still a day or two away on the calendar.

This is an electronic Christmas card/story sent to a friend of ours in Florida that he got from an English Lady. Notice the London street scenes.  Just right "click" on the link to open it in a new tab:

I hope it worked for you.  How dumb is this fluff character to be outside in the cold snow when there is a warm fire in the fireplace and she's allowed to cuddle up on her own puillow on the living room couich? DUH!  What's with the weird looking red phone booths?
Y'all stay warm and for heaven's sake try to be nice, not naughty like me.
Crazy Gracie (a.k.a. - NAFOD) and TBH&K

Merry Christmas. We don't have any snow here in Denver, but in the hills above town they are measuring snow in yards, yards because then 3-5 does not sound so scarey. Love your new photos.

We have plenty of snow, we would be happy to send you some to add to your total.
We just heard "The Luke" is feeling bad, we hope those of you who know him will stop by his blog, the post are not real recent, but if you post a comment his "The Mom" and "The Bleu" will know you are thing about them.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2011!

We have lots of snow too - which is very unusual for us here in Ireland at this time of the year! We haven't had a White Christmas in years!!

best wishes from all of us

STEP UP TO ADOPT A PET

If you can, please consider opening your home to a homeless animal, preferably a dog or cat or other domesticated animal; livestock does better on farms and wild animals do better in zoos and parks. Your local Humane Society or SPCA or Animal Shelter has a wide selection of could be, should be, pets looking for new homes. If you can't adopt, perhaps you can at least become a sponsor. We'll show you how to help out Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary (AHGRRS) on our blog page, but you can help out any organization of your choice, but please help; contribute or volunteer.

PLEASE HELP SPONSOR A SENIOR OR SPECIAL NEEDS GOLDEN

CAN'T ADOPT; BECOME AN ANGEL.
So many Senior and Special Needs Goldens do not find "forever homes". Many of these dogs have above average medical needs and costs, are maintained on "special" diets, or have other extraordinary needs. Your donations can be targeted towards a particular Senior or Special needs Golden Retriever. As a sponsor, you will receive updates about your "special" Golden, and will be mentioned in our quarterly newsletter as the dog's sponsor. We also accept Paypal donations. Please keep in mind that we are a non-profit organization and that your donation is fully tax-deductible. Please just write the Golden's name in the memo line of your check or Paypal submission when sponsoring a Golden Retriever.
