ON HIS TEAMHey Hounders,
It's all of Bumpass Hounds and Kitties tonight with a really very special request. We know that Christmas is just around the corner and that this is supposed to be a joyous and festive season. There is a damper on on spirits tonight. we've sent an express letter to Puppy Claws to cancel all of our previous Christmas list requests for dinosaur bones and endless chicken tenders, etc. We all only want one thing for this Christmas; we want a sick friend to be comfortable and hopefully to get better ASAP. Our Golden Boy buddy, Luke Luke, is sick and needs us all to join his team to help him win his fight. We need to all send him our get well wishes and to ask our GOD to watch over "The Luke" and his family. Please crosspost on your own blogs to get the word out to everyone you know than can join the team. The team needs the power of prayer.
Luke is on his second chance life as a rescue down in Houston, TX. His adoptive mom, Amanda Wright, must be very worried during what should otherwise be a festive season w ith her boys, Lucky Luke and The Bleu. Amanda spends a great deal of her time helping homeless animals at the Houston SPCA. "The Luke" is a rescue that she saved and she has made a wonderful home for what was a troubled spirit. Amanda is The Luke's angel and he her's. They have shared their souls since June 2008.
If you don't know these fine souls, please stop by their blog and read up on their past history. Ms. Amanda hasn't been helping Luke post for a few weeks, undoubtedly because of Luke's illness, but we're sure that if you leave your best wishes on the last blog post available or on Luke's Facebook page that they would appreciate knowing that we all care about them and are concerned. They could sure use some positive comments and encouragement. Please take a few minutes out of your busy Christmas and holiday schedules to help our buddy "The Luke"; we love him. Luke is one of the very few winners, deservedly so, of the coverted TBH+K Bravo Zulu Award and it is displayed proudly on his blogsite. Please join the team and say a prayer for Luke and his mom, Amanda.
We really need everyone's help, so please say a prayer and send Luke some good thoughts.
GOD BLESS US, EVERYONE.
BTW, please spread the word about White Dog's khomment-a-thon especially since it will go to Canine Cancer research - http://whitedogblog.blogspot.com/
