Hey Hounders,

Radar, the blind Golden Retriever, and Homer, the old Golden Retriever, here.  Y'all might already know that we've got a few things in common.  Besides both being red and both being Golden Retrievers, we both came to still be alive and both be genuine Bumpass Hounds because of the rescue efforts of Ms. Carol and Mr. Skip up at Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary  (AHGRRS) up in Delray, West Virginia.  Right now AHGRRS is facing a big burden of veterinary care bills brought about by the required medical needs of the rescued dogs brought into the shelter.  They have until December 1st to pay down their vet bills in order to continue to function at the valuable rescue work that they do.  So us Bumpass Hounds, especially the 5 of us who are here because of AHGRRS are trying to help out in the fund raising effort.  This is the month of Thanksgiving and we sure do give thanks to AHGRRS for saving our butts.  We're asking our readers and friends to try to dig a little deeper into their pockets and "Chip-In" to the effort.  So we thought that y'all might want to explore the AHGRRS website and find out something about the organization that we're asking you to contribute to.  You can find out all about it at

We've set up a widget right here (below) that you can just click on to be able to contribute to the effort.  Remember, there is no such thing as too small of a donation.  A lot of little donations is a heckuva lot better than no big ones.
